Your life’s passion is waiting for you, but whether you answer the door is up to you.

There are those of us who believe that our lives are predestined and that we should give up what we truly want to do, or be, and settle for what others think we “should” be. BORING! WRONG on so many levels – especially spiritual levels!!! Interestingly – it is up to each of us to CHOOSE what our path or destiny will be. To me this would be similar to buying a ticket for a Hawaiian vacation, packing for Hawaii – bathing suits, flip-flops, and sunscreen…only to be told that is NOT where you are going. You just thought you were going to Hawaii!  Actually, you’re going to the South Pole for the winter instead. Spoiler alert!!! It doesn’t happen this way…best spoiler alert EVER!

We are all born with a life’s purpose, our passion of what we love to do – and it is up to us whether we will say yes to fulfilling it or settle by going to the South Pole. Just like our choices every day of what clothes to wear, what to eat, which route to take to work and so on – choosing to say yes to your life’s path is a decision that only you can make. This is why one of my favorite little sayings is: “Choose Wisely.”

Whether you believe your life’s purpose is to be a teacher, a CPA, a musician, or a dentist is up to you to choose!  But choose you must! Following your passion is just the beginning of a thousand steps. And remember, even if you are on the right track, if you just sit there – you will get run over by the train. We must take action toward our dreams. NO EXCUSES. No one can truly steal your dreams unless YOU allow them to do so! Trust me on this – I learned this truth the hard way. When you take responsibility for your own life and passions –  and begin placing attention onto your intentions – DOORS FLY OPEN SO FAST – it will cool you off on even the hottest day in the middle of the Gobi Desert.

Doorways promisingly open for you to step through and other doors close that no longer serve you toward the South Pole. Every choice you make is a step in a direction – so you must decide whether you are going to Hawaii for a vacation or to the South Pole for the winter. It’s YOUR choice. Listen to your intuition and recognize opportunities when they knock – for opportunities seldom, if ever, knock twice.

So…knock, knock! Is this my future at the door? If so…ANSWER THE DOOR…NO MATTER WHAT! If you’re not following your passion – you are living someone else’s dreams! So, where will it be – Hawaii or the South Pole? I’m packing flip-flops and sunscreen.
